ABRSM Grade 5 Theory

Many students take ABRSM Grade 5 practical in their own instrument. However, panic often sets in when they realise that before they can take Grade 6, they must pass the Grade 5 Theory exam!!

In my theory classes, I will guide you through the knowledge that is needed to pass Grade 5 theory. As musical knowledge is cumulative, it is vital that you understand the concepts in Grades 1-4, before embarking on Grade 5.

No two students learn in the exactly the same way. For this reason, I teach with a variety of learning styles in mind and my philosophy is always to make learning FUN! Lessons include use of colourful worksheets, flashcards, videos, hands-on activities and games to consolidate concepts learned. Each lesson will end with a short assessment and mock exams will be taken a few weeks before your exam date. Revision aids will be available for students to take home, so that learning and revising can continue at home.
